The Milo

Sebenernya nama the milo itu berasal dari nama anjing peliharaan mickey... yup... Mickey Mouse yang bernama "milo". Ajie (vokalis & gitaris sekaligus frontman the milo) seneng banget nonton film kartun, dan suatu saat dia ngeliat di film kartun itu ada anjing yang namanyanya "milo". Trus dia pikir kalo nama "milo" keren juga buat dijadiin nama band, sekaligus mudah diingat. Jadi the milo itu nggak ada sangkut pautnya dengan salah satu merek susu. Yah walaupun banyak orang yang beranggapan begitu. The milo terbentuk sekitar tahun 1996.The milo sendiri pada awalnya merupakan side project, dimana para personel the milo masing-masing sudah memiliki band sendiri. Dan kemudian side project ini malah menjadi sesuatu yang serius bagi personel the milo.

The milo adalah sebuah band asal Bandung yang personelnya adalah cabutan dari band-band Bandung juga macem Cherry Bombshell dan La Luna. Tapi sebenernya dulu para personel the milo berasal dari band-band hardcore lho. Nggak tau kenapa dari band-band hardcore tersebut para personel the milo jadi mengubah haluan 180 derajat. Bisa dilihat dari lagu-lagu mereka sekarang yang cenderung galau, walaupun sebenernya basic musik mereka adalah pop. Sekilas kalau mendengarkan lagu-lagunya the milo akan terasa sebuah atmosfer yang tenang, seperti merasa sendirian di tengah-tengah hutan yang luas (cocok banget dengan cover album, poster & flyers mereka yang selalu bernuansa seperti itu).
